Autonomous assistant systems and their contribution to Greenshipping
- 05-11-2025
- Until next time
On November 5, 2025, the project Ferry Go! focusing on autonomous shipping, together with Green Shipping Niedersachsen, is organizing a congress in Leer. The central question is how (autonomous) assistance systems can contribute to a sailing profile that consumes less fuel than is currently usual.
Hans G. will speak about data processing on behalf of EDIH NN.
The language of the congress is mainly German, with a touch of English here and there. Several Dutch companies are also represented. Are you interested in this topic or do you know parties within your network for whom this is relevant? Feel free to forward the invitation.

About the project Ferry Go!
The Ferry Go! project develops and tests autonomous systems for passenger ships in the German-Dutch Wadden area.
The goal is to create a system that can operate largely unmanned, requiring human intervention only in emergencies.
The results provide insights into the technological, nautical, safety and legal requirements as well as into acceptance by crew and passengers.
Ferry Go! is implemented within the Interreg VI A program Germany-Netherlands and funded by the European Union, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate, the MB Niedersachsen and the provinces of Groningen and Friesland.
